We recently went through the experience of having a covered deck and stone patio designed for us by an architect. The plans reflected a craftsman design that is detail-oriented and complex. We also wanted the structure done in cedar with a metal roof with stone and wood columns. It should be noted that the columns were offset from the corners adding further to the complexity of the design.

During the bidding process, Mike Perry listened to what we wanted, made his suggestions, and stayed true to the design that we wanted. Mike did not have a cookie cutter plan as did other contractors and was able to put together a bid that worked for us.

HSGroup was able to execute on all phases of the design, building and follow up. We had to make numerous adjustments as the project was being built and they were able to work the adjustments to help the project turn out better than I expected.

HSGroup’s employee’s did a first-rate job, especially given the detail of work that had to be done in order for the project to turn out like it did. The subcontractors also did a first-rate job on the electrical, stone, roof and staining.

Based on our overall experience, I would recommend HSGroup to any person who needs a professional outfit to complete a job that needs to be done right. Based on my conversations with the subcontractors who worked on the project, they would also state that Mike Perry and his organization are top-flight among the remodeling contractors they work with.

In March of 2007 my husband and I contacted HSGroup of Cumming to begin the process of remodeling our kitchen. After speaking on the phone with Diane Perry, we set up a meeting with her husband Mike Perry, owner of HSGroup.

Mike came out to our house, listened to what we were interested in, took measurements of the kitchen and gave us the name of both a kitchen and bath designer that he had worked with and highly recommended.

The designer, Lisa Brooks, met with us soon after. Lisa visited our home to see the kitchen, took measurements, discussed options and listened to what we wanted in a kitchen. She spent over two hours with us at our initial visit and within a week had final drawings to present to us. The drawings incorporated everything we had asked for.

A very detailed contract was prepared by HSGroup and Lisa and Mike were present at the signing to go over all of the details and answer any questions we had.

Work was begun as scheduled in July and finished on time in September.

The quality of the new kitchen is amazing and filled with superior details that Lisa included to make our kitchen efficient, beautiful and perfect!

Working with HSGroup was a joy. The whole process was smooth, on time and on budget.

We wanted our kitchen to have a new look. We worked with a Allison Havill Todd of Decorating Den for several years, so we put a call in to her to get some advice. After a brief discussion about the scope of our project, she suggested that we call HSGroup for assistance.

We phoned HSGroup and talked with Diane Perry. She asked what we wanted to accomplish from the project and suggest a meeting with Mike Perry of HSGroup and Lisa Brooks of Brooks Kitchen and Bath Design.

In our first meeting with Mike and Lisa we went over what we wanted to accomplish with the renovation. We all had several ideas. Mike was very helpful in knowing if the project idea would work structurally and Lisa, the designer, was ready to put her expertise to work for us in creating the perfect kitchen design.

Our kitchen renovation project took several months of planning and thought. We worked through many ideas and designs to get to the end result that we wanted to have in our new kitchen. Mike and Lisa were both very patient and wanted things done right. Their expertise and ideas was a perfect fir for what we wanted.

Our project started with demolition on January 2, 2008 and was completed in about 6 weeks. We LOVE our new kitchen! It is even more beautiful than we thought it would be.

We highly recommend the work of HSGroup and their team of contractors and designers. They are professional, hands-on, knowledgeable and detail-oriented.

In the last quarter of 2006, we contracted with Mike Perry and HSGroup to renovate our kitchen. This involved new appliances, new countertops and sinks, new faucets, refinished cabinets and new cabinetry built to match the existing units. The results were outstanding. We can recommend Mike and HSGroup without reservation.

During our planning and selection process, Mike was both flexible and helpful. Other contractors that we talked to tended to have a fixed approach, offering only optional new cabinets or cabinet doors, for instance. Mike listened to what we wanted to do, offered positive suggestions for improvement and developed a cost effective plan for implementation.

The work was completed on time and on budget with very satisfactory results. We were pleased enough to hire HSGroup for another project following the completion of our kitchen.

I never give recommendations for services on this forum, but will break with this long-standing rule to give one to HSGroup, owned by Mike and Dianne Perry.

As some of you know, they just recently completed a fairly extensive project for us that included adding a deck across the back of our house, complete with underdeck patio & rain-away system, adding a sunroom, storage room, remodeling the laundry room and adding office space. The work is complete and we are 100% satisfied with both the quality and the outcome.

Mike listened to what we wanted, made recommendations and presented a detailed proposal that captured both scope and cost. His planning figures were totally transparent to us, so it was easy to see why and where dollars were being spent as well as the costs of materials and fixtures. Of the three proposals we received, he was the only one who presented this type of detail and we appreciated it. Mike's cost estimates were on the mark and the only increases were caused by changes we made as we got into the effort.

The workers and subcontractors employed by HSGroup were great, cleaned up after themselves and could be left alone in our house. We did not have a single issue with a worker in almost five months of effort.

Of importance to us was the final punch out – and there always is some. Mike took our list and worked off every item until we were 100% satisfied...that is rare these days. If anyone is considering a remodel, you are welcome to stop by and see the completed project and talk to us about the process. They did a great job for us and remained personally engaged throughout the effort...we could not have asked for a better outcome.
